With Open Eyes
We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek then with our eyes open. ~~~Jawaharial Nehru~~~

Atlanta Aquarium
If you are ever near Atlanta, be sure to take time to see the Aquarium. It is a wonderful exhibit, well worth the time and cost of admission. Here is a sample:

Skies
There are some beautiful skies for us to enjoy. Some of them are just clear and blue and wonderful.
Some of them are fiery sunrises.
Some of the skies are backdrops for snow geese in flight.
Sometimes, a backdrop for a rainbow.
Perhaps a home for wispy, clouds over the ocean.
Or to highlight some of the damage from Katrina.
Sometimes there are stormy clouds with just a peek of the sky showing through.
Or the sky may be completely obliterated by storm clouds.
But eventually, we all know the sun will shine again in the blue, blue sky.
Sometimes the sky is backing to clouds of odd shapes and textures.
And as the sun sets, the contrast between the sky and the clouds becomes an awesome piece of eye candy.
Or it becomes rich, ripe with gold.
And as night sets in, the sky darkens.
And the pastels fade from the western sky.
Until the velvety dark takes over.
Good night, all.

Water
I'm always fascinated with water. In my travels over the last couple years I've seen some very pretty ones, some are immense like the Atlantic Ocean in Florida:
Or the Gulf Coast with it's white sands and waters greyed by the overcast day:
Some are small, still lakes that reflect the trees and sky:
Some are home to multiple kinds of waterfowl:
And some have the pine trees surrounding them like Washington's misty Puget Sound:
But all have touched my heart. I hope they do yours, too.

Trees
As I've traveled around during the last couple years, I've begun to notice and enjoy many things about nature. I have found that I am especially drawn to the shapes, the colors, the textures of trees. I have photographed treed from Washington State to Florida, in the Midwest, and especially the Southwest. Wherever I am, whatever kind they are, trees and I find each other.
A few of the trees I've known and loved . . .
